We visited The Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Art & Culture of the Riverside Art Museum

We met with members of our church family from The First Congregational Church of Riverside for a visit and tour of The Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Art & Culture Art Museum.

For over three decades, actor Cheech Marin has been a devoted collector of art by Chicano artists; he has amassed hundreds of works. It is a beautiful collection you have to see. The The museum is located at 3581 Mission Inn Ave., Riverside, CA, 92501. Their website is https://riversideartmuseum.org/

The 61,420-square-foot center will house hundreds of paintings, drawings, photographs, and sculptures by artists including Patssi Valdez, Sandy Rodriguez, Carlos Almaraz, Frank Romero, Judithe Hernández, and Gilbert “Magú” Luján. I share some of the work that stood out to me in our blog. See it here.
