When I started working in the industry, I had to learn a lot on how and why productions do the things they do. I found myself working next to icons who are globally recognized. In this image, I am featured as a vampire in a scene of the HBO Television series of True Blood, directed by Michael Lehmann. This is the 4th episode of season 1 Escape from Dragon House (2008) starring Anna Paquin, who is an Academy Award Winner for Best Supporting Actress and was awarded at the age of 11.
Let me tell you, when a movie or TV show is filmed, there are plenty of cameras capturing the action from many angles, there are also plenty of background actors and not everyone is seen in the final cut, when editing, the directors are very selective on who they choose is featured, specially when working as a background actor, one is usually perceived as a moving prop, so, to have been seen by the public, it means the actor did something that was truly special and enhanced the scene.
I have worked very hard making my way into the entertainment industry in Hollywood. I study every day, I continue taking classes, I workout and eat healthy to have an appealing appearance for you, the public. Nothing has been handed to me on a silver platter, so when you hear my songs, watch my music videos, read about me or see me on the screen, no matter what role I am portraying, you can be sure that I have given it my all to make a name for myself.
Living with a disability like bipolar disorder, a family who is not supportive of my calling, and having migrated from a country outside the United States, I represent the never give up individual, the hard working individual who doesn’t sit around waiting for things to happen, the stoic man who who endures pain or hardship without showing their feelings or complaining. I, Sidow Sobrino represent you, the person who not only dreams but takes action and strongly believes that with God’s favor, I am limitless.
