Among my many achieved goals in life, three standout more than many others, we all have ambitions, things we desire deeply to accomplish. whether it is traveling to a foreign country or buying a new car, we all wake up hoping today, is the day those dreams come true.
But let's face it, some grails require more work than others, and some take longer to see come to fruition. I want to make clear that I am sharing them in the order they occurred and not of importance, they all fill my heart with Joy.
In the first place, I have to say, becoming a United States Citizen was one of the most wonderful experiences, I live in the land of opportunities and freedom.
Number two, has to be the day I married my husband Richard, as a man perceived faulty by society because of my orientation, I always believed marriage was out of the question, Even after President Barack Obama and his administration made historic strides to expand opportunities and advance equality and justice in the Supreme Court with the Same-Sex Marriage ruling, I didn't think I would see that day.
Number three, it's becoming a SAG-AFTRA member, although I had been performing for over 20 years, I knew I would only be taken serious by the entertainment industry and my peers by being Union, this is what separates the wannabes from the professionals. Thanks to God's favor and to my persistence, I'm now a Star.
