Last Sunday RuPaul took home his sixth straight Emmy win for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Competition Program. No, I am not a drag queen, but I was featured in an episode in 2011 during a segment called RuPaul's Casting Extravaganza.
The story of how I got there is not important any more, what is important, is the fact that after 10 years of that episode airing, America's No.1 Drag Queen continues going strong, It is with great Joy that I celebrate his/her success and want to express that I I feel proud to be a part of the winning story.
I pause today and thank God for leading me on roads that are epic, I also congratulate the star and her production team World of Wonder Productions for the opportunity to make entertainment history next to you. RuPaul’s Drag Race has tallied a total of 24 Primetime Emmy Awards and VH1 has ordered new seasons of RuPaul’s Drag Race, Untucked! and Secret Celebrity Drag Race.
I no longer go by the name Diego or Diegodiego, I am now officially registered with the SAG-AFTRA performers union and my stage name is Sidow Sobrino as you know, this is in tribute of both my husband Richard and my family name, and I don't look like I did then at 34, this is what I look like now at 46.
