Carmen Jara is a Mexican-born singer recognized in the regional Latin music scene for her mariachi and banda recordings. She began performing in Tijuana and moved to Mexico City at age 16 to pursue formal vocal training. After relocating to the U.S. with her family, she recorded her first album Herencia, which led to a contract with Fonovisa Records and several album releases through the 1990s.
She has appeared on Spanish-language television and continues to perform at regional events and through independent projects. Her artistic career remains focused within Latin markets across Mexico and the United States.

Carmen Jara es una cantante nacida en Sonora, México, reconocida dentro del género regional mexicano, especialmente en mariachi y banda. Más tarde se trasladó a los Estados Unidos con su familia, donde continuó desarrollando su carrera y grabó su primer álbum, Herencia. Ha conducido programas de televisión en español y ha mantenido una presencia constante con lanzamientos independientes y presentaciones en escenarios regionales.
