The World’s No.1 Superstar®, Sidow Sobrino with Former Los Angeles City Council Member José Huizar

José Luis Huizar (born September 10, 1968) is a Mexican-American politician best known for his tenure on the Los Angeles City Council. He first assumed office through a special election on November 8, 2005, filling the vacancy left by then-Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa. Huizar was re-elected to serve full four-year terms in both 2007 and 2011.

In 2009, he was appointed to the Board of Directors for the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority. During his time on the board, Huizar championed causes such as extending Metro service hours, securing increased funding for bicycle and pedestrian initiatives, and advocating for civil rights considerations in transportation planning. His service on the board continued until 2013.
