“This is a very personal and deep moment for us,” says Sidow Sobrino. “Three things inspired me to bring this track alive. My husband Richard and I, while seven years apart, both grew up during the ’70s. The sound of the genre was everywhere. I was also struck by something Martin Scorsese shared on Instagram about revisiting old films to enrich his artistic palette—to study and learn. And finally, sitting down to enjoy Saturday Night Fever starring John Travolta. All the puzzle pieces came together. I knew I had to bring it to life through my own art.”

Richard Sidow-Sobrino echoes that emotional throughline. “Disco songs from ABBA and the Bee Gees left a lasting impression on my musical heart,” he says. “Fast-forward 50 years, and my husband and I co-wrote the lyrics to ‘Disco Dancing’ to pay homage to the ’70s in the most uplifting way possible. Like us, there are so many people out there who are going to want to put on their shoes and start dancing.”
