“At first I thought I was traveling to Rome to shoot a musical production,” Sobrino explains. “But the energy I felt… it was as if I had been summoned by Rome itself—by its divine mythic presence—to awaken something dormant inside me. Only a place like this, so soaked in legacy, could do that.”
Against a backdrop of ancient architecture, golden light, and storied streets, ROME-ANTICS frames Sidow Sobrino not just as a performer, but as a modern legend walking where icons once stood. The song and its cinematic counterpart are part of the artist’s SEMINAL album, distributed by The Orchard (a division of Sony Music Entertainment) under his independent label S & S Digital Records.
The visionary behind the concept was none other than his husband and creative collaborator, Richard Sidow-Sobrino, who envisioned channeling the spirit of ancient Rome into a contemporary visual masterpiece.
“This production needed to visually connect with the song’s meaning,” Richard explained. “What better way than to film in Rome? We didn’t just capture a location—we captured its essence.”
The couple spent several weeks on location, crafting scenes across historic landscapes. Reflecting on the journey, Richard added, “Our collaborations have always been powerful, but walking those cobblestones—where Julius Caesar once walked—felt right. It was a moment meant for myself and The World’s No.1 Superstar™.” With admiration glowing in his eyes, he whispered, “My husband.”
