Our Union President Fran Drescher Speaks with CNN, The SAG-AFTRA Strike Still On!

"They want us to accept a deal that in real money is less than what we made in 2020, and take us through 2026. I'm sorry, but that's unacceptable." SAG-AFTRA President Fran Drescher.

Despite a recent meeting between the WGA and AMPTP to discuss the resumption of negotiations, Our SAG president Fran Drescher spoke to Poppy Harlow and Victor Blackwell and revealed in an interview on "CNN This Morning" that there has been no progress in reestablishing dialogue between the actors' guild and the studios.

Drescher took issue with the AMPTP's recent statement emphasizing their focus on getting people back to work, pointing out that effective negotiation requires open communication and engagement with the opposing party. "They're not engaging with us," she remarked. "Therefore, I'm uncertain about the intent behind their claim to seek a resolution, considering that effective dealing necessitates active communication and negotiation with the other side." Refer to the accompanying video for a comprehensive view of Drescher's remarks.
