My job was to sit on the director's chair, guiding my husband, Richard. One thing we laugh at is how Richard has only auditioned once, he booked the part for that project, but for most of his career, his characters are written primarily for him. What a lucky break for an actor, right?
It's actually a great Joy being able to give ourselves that opportunity. Knocking on doors, it's overwhelming for any artist; I know it personally, as I did for many years. Having the freedom to create, produce and present our work is beyond words.
