2020 was a test for EVERYONE and so many failed. I heard so many complain about this and that. Weh, weh, weh. In reality, it was an opportunity to learn new things, to grow, a huge chance to re-invent oneself. But did you?
It is disappointing to hear the endless complains. I can't do this, this is so hard, and while some found ways to rise, others just wet their pants and proved they are a waste of space. We all faced the horror with equal strength. The people in the medical field never worked harder and they cried and scream and they kept going, but so many disrespectful people made excuses and ignored simple rules. how hard is it to wear a mask, really, think about it. Wearing a mask has nothing to do with being sheep or being strong, it was a form of self love and love for others. Many lost their jobs. The entertainment industry shut down, restaurants closed, gyms closed. Yet ,did you take the time to learn some new way of keeping your head above water and stay alive? for those who lost the gym, some started running, some filled gallons of water and used them as weights. For those who lost their job, I heard of people who become experts at arranging flowers, cooking food and selling it, and my favorite, children who were tired of it all but took it into their own hands and kept learning. It was the perfect time to educate oneself again and discover a new world.
Because of the negligence of dumb kids we lost precious lives of many grandparents, because of people who could not learn to use the internet and video calls, groups gathered and spread the virus even greater. I can go on, and on, but you know who you are if the year past you by and you accomplished very little or nothing. How sad, To those who rose and grew Kudos, you have my respect and admiration, to those who wined, specially people who complaint about their children spending too much time at home and you couldn't control them, you wanted them back in a place were others did the job for you, regardless of exposing them to dying or killing others, their educators and their families. Let me tell you, while studies say, young children don't contract the virus as easy, they still spread it. Your negligence as human being or leader of your family made you fail the test. I know many will think I am inconsiderate with my opinion, but think too how many were inconsiderate of the lives of others, my opinion doesn't hurt anyone, actions do.
I am not going to brag about what we had to do at home to go on. But we tried many things and many didn't worked, others did ,and at the end of the day, I am proud to say. I am Bipolar and all, full of anxiety, with no productions to bring in money for our family. We managed to keep going, we mastered new ways of staying in shape, to gain knowledge, we become competent in a lot of things. It is a year many will choose to never forget, others , like us, we are ready to put it behind and move on.
